Why I Give

“My late husband, Bob, and I met at the University of Kansas, so it’s naturally dear to us. As time went on, we wanted to do more. We gave a scholarship to the School of Nursing and got more involved with The University of Kansas Hospital. Since Bob passed, I’ve continued to give to the hospital in his memory. For us, it was always about helping those who have dedicated their lives to helping others.”

“Turning Point has done so much for me, from cooking classes that have introduced me to cancer-fighting foods to the people who have helped me continue on my journey to get meaning out of having cancer. It’s a place where you are immediately accepted and immediately understood. It’s peace of mind. When something has touched you that much, you just feel compelled to give back.”
