Located inside Sprint Center's Grand Lobby, next to the College Basketball Experience, at 1403 Grand Boulevard, Sprint Center Health Care will continue to see patients during normal business hours, 10 a.m.-6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. In addition to urgent care services, Sprint Center Health Care provides a family care practice with physicians who specialize in family practice, internal medicine, pediatrics and geriatrics.

Sprint Center's urgent care is the only urgent care inside the downtown loop.

"Kansas City, Missouri's downtown is booming with new residential options, projected hotels and attractions," said Lee Norman, MD, chief medical officer at The University of Kansas Hospital. "Our patients told us they wanted a weekend option and we are giving it to them."

Dr. Norman said weekend hours could expand in the future, depending on patient demand.

The hospital also noted the assistance of AEG, operators of Sprint Center, in establishing the weekend hours.
