Sarah Baldassaro, MD

baldassaro-sarahDr. Baldassaro is ecstatic about returning to Kansas and joining the Women's Health Specialty Centers. She grew up in Wichita, Kansas, and attended Kansas State University for her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis on pre-medical studies. She then received her MD from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and went on to complete residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. In July 2014, Dr. Baldassaro returned to her home in Kansas City and the University of Kansas Medical Center. She is married and has three daughters, who are also very excited to be back home.

Dr. Baldassaro received training in both laparoscopic and robotic procedures during my residency. She is a junior member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and presented at the Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine's annual conference in 2013 on Mitral Valvuloplasty in Pregnancy.

She is interested in all aspects of women's healthcare from adolescence, through the childbearing years and into menopause. She appreciates the relationships that she is able to build with her patients over their lifetime. She also strives to recognize her patients as individuals and to support them each step of the way while making their medical decisions. She is interested in minimally invasive surgery as well as general obstetrics. Dr. Baldassaro looks forward to providing Obstetric and Gynecologic care to the Kansas City community.
