Chiefs Ambassadors Bring Smiles to Patients

April 07, 2016

Kansas City, Kan. — The Kansas City Chiefs Ambassadors are unique in the NFL. The group of former Chiefs players, some of the biggest names in Kansas City's football history, promote goodwill in the community and volunteer their time bringing smiles to those who need it. On Wednesday afternoon, these special gentlemen brought great joy to patients at The University of Kansas Hospital.

Led by NFL Hall of Famers Bobby Bell and Jan Stenerud, the group included Deron Cherry, Bill Maas, Shawn Barber, Ken Kremer and several others who visited four units, including pediatrics, to share memories and take photographs with their fans.

Since the Chiefs and the hospital formed a partnership in 2012 to provide comprehensive healthcare for the Chiefs organization, Chiefs fans and the greater Kansas City region, the Chiefs community has participated in 20 outreach initiatives or visits in conjunction with The University of Kansas Hospital.
