Patient Satisfaction Measures

We mail the national Press Ganey patient satisfaction survey to patients' homes within days after they leave the health system. The 72-question survey allows patients to evaluate their health system experiences.

Our scores for the past year (higher is better):

  • In the most recent quarter reported, we ranked in the 88th percentile, as compared to more than 1,000 hospitals.
  • More than 93 percent of patients rate their experience of care in our hospital as "good" or "very good."
  • For the most recent quarter, we ranked in the top 10 percent compared to more than 1,000 hospitals.

Patient Satisfaction in Key Areas

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services also surveys hospital patients on their experience. The two most important CMS measures are:

  • The percentage of patients who rate their overall care as a 9 or 10 (10-point scale). The higher the number the better.
  • The percentage of patients who say they would recommend the hospital. The higher the number the better.
