Medical Acupuncture

acupuncture Medical acupuncture at Integrative Medicine combines the best of Eastern and Western traditions to help the body heal. Acupuncture can treat or alleviate these conditions or symptoms:
  • Chronic headaches and migraines
  • Hormone-related symptoms (menopause, PMS and others)
  • Infertility
  • Cancer (as complementary therapy, approved by your cancer team)
  • Chronic pain (back, neck, abdominal, etc.)
  • Smoking cessation
  • Arthritis
  • Digestive problems
  • Sleep Problems
Medical acupuncture embraces the classical Chinese model of an energy network and a life force we all share called Qi (pronounced “chee”), and it respects the conventional model of neuromuscular anatomy and pain physiology. Our acupuncturist, a medical doctor, uses fine needles to move energy along these meridian networks to circulate Qi. This energy movement helps to stimulate the body to balance and heal itself.
