Endocrine conditions treated include:

  • Growth problems
  • Early or delayed puberty
  • Underactive or overactive thyroid gland
  • Enlarged thyroid gland (goiter)
  • Underactive or overactive pituitary gland
  • Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia)
  • Underactive or overactive adrenal gland
  • Ambiguous genitals/intersex
  • Ovarian or testicular dysfunction
  • Metabolic syndrome/weight management
  • Problems with vitamin D (rickets, hypocalcaemia) and bone disease

Goals of treatment:

  • Help the patient achieve normal growth and development
  • Provide education and support to the patient, parents, and family
  • Encourage patients to overcome obstacles and have a normal life-style

Support staff:

  • Registered nurse (RN),
  • Physician's assistant (PA), and
  • Certified diabetes educator (CDE).
