  • Date: Wednesday, May 20 • 1-3 p.m.

    Instructor: Cathy Pendleton, LSCSW

Description: "Self-care? You've got to be kidding!" When illness touches your life – either your own illness or that of a loved one – it can be a real challenge to your self-care. With the emotional strain, schedule and role changes, doctor's visits, etc., people often put taking care of themselves at the bottom of their list of priorities. Yet, practicing simple, concrete ways to care for yourself creates a powerful tool for managing life's stressors – even during times of illness. In this group, we will explore simple, “user-friendly” physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of self-care.

  • Series dates: Thursdays, May 28-June 11 • 2-3:30 p.m.

    Instructor: Susan Rieger, MSW, LCSW

Description: This group discusses and applies the 6-step program of Steve Ilardi, PhD. He reminds us that our bodies were not designed for today's sleep-deprived, poorly nourished, frenzied pace. Explore practical, achievable ways for managing emotions – even during times of illness.
