Special nursing services

Sometimes a patient does not need to be hospitalized and doesn’t qualify for home health services but needs help on a regular basis with medical tasks. The special nursing services team at the Great Bend campus can provide that care 7 days a week.

What are special nursing services?

Our team is trained to provide treatments to people of all ages and at all stages of life. Services we offer include:

  • Allergy shots
  • Anticoagulation therapy
  • Autoimmune medication management
  • Blood product administration
  • Dressing changes
  • IV antibiotics
  • IV fluid management
  • Neutropenic medications
  • PICC line placement
  • Therapeutic phlebotomy
  • Vacuum-assisted wound treatment

Where to get special nursing services

Our team provides care at 2 locations to best meet the needs of our patients.

Patients whose visits are scheduled 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday will receive their care at 3715 6th St. It is the building east of Great Bend Hospital, across the parking lot from the Emergency Department.

Patients whose visits are scheduled after 4:30 p.m. or on weekends or holidays, will receive their care in the hospital. Please enter through the Emergency Department and check in at the registration desk.

We are flexible and will do everything that is needed to take care of our patients.
