The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, Kansas, provides inpatient care within a 378-bed hospital facility and 15 outpatient clinics, where patients from across the Topeka region can visit their primary and specialty care providers.
The Topeka campus has earned the following service recognitions:
- Designated Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI. This designation goes to hospitals with the ability to provide exceptional treatment for patients with heart attack symptoms. These facilities provide percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), including catheterization procedures such as angioplasty.
- Comprehensive Community Cancer Program. This accreditation from the American College of Surgeons is awarded to facilities that offer a range of diagnostic and treatment services as well as enrollment into cancer-related clinical trials.
- Certified Primary Stroke Center. The Joint Commission provides this recognition to hospitals with a dedicated stroke program and qualified professionals who support better outcomes for stroke patients.
