New cancer building
The University of Kansas Cancer Center has started construction on a world-class patient care and cancer research building on the 39th and Rainbow campus.
Beginning October 12 and continuing through November 3, utility work will require traffic and pedestrian changes near Cambridge Street and West 39th Avenue.
Northbound and southbound traffic on Cambridge Street will be reduced to one lane in each direction. The northbound left-turn and through lanes will also be closed to allow traffic to move safely around the work zone.
Pedestrian crosswalks in the area will also be closed. Detour signage will direct pedestrians to alternate routes.
