Pediatric Emergency Care
If your child is experiencing a health emergency, you want the highest level of care available.
If your child’s need is life-threatening, go to the nearest emergency department or call 911 immediately.
Our emergency medicine specialists will provide lifesaving measures and stabilizing care for all ages in the ED. We will apply medical expertise and experience to determine the next best step for each individual patient. This could include admission to our inpatient pediatric unit, surgical ICU or medical ICU, or it could result in transfer to Children’s Mercy – our collaborative partner and neighbor with the area’s broadest and deepest pediatric expertise.
