Pediatric Surgery

Surgery can be a frightening experience for children and their parents. We offer state-of-the-art medical and surgical services in a warm and caring environment. Our entire staff is experienced in helping children and families through their surgical experience with a minimum of stress. Our patients' well-being, both physical and emotional, is our prime concern.

The pediatric surgery staff is specially trained in the surgical care of children and adolescents. We perform a broad range of surgical procedures, from minor outpatient procedures to complex inpatient surgeries. This includes working with children of every age, from newborn to teenagers.

Our surgeons are often part of a multidisciplinary team, working closely with other specialists in the hospital to develop individualized treatment plans. As a part of our personalized approach, you will see the same surgeon throughout the treatment period.

Specialty areas include:

  • Appendicitis
  • Genetic defects in newborns
  • Hernia
  • Management of cancerous tumors
  • Repair of chest wall deformities
  • Laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery
  • Reconstructive urologic surgery
  • Trauma (e.g. accident)

We hope that your child will never need surgery. However, if the need arises, you can rest assured that our pediatric surgery professionals will care for your child as they would with their own.

We offer a variety of appointment types. Learn more or call 913-588-1227 to schedule now.
