LMH Health West

December 07, 2021

Lawrence, Kan. — The University of Kansas Health System maternal-fetal-medicine care team joined forces with Lawrence OB-GYN Specialists at LMH Health to bring an advanced maternal and fetal care physician office to the LMH Health West Campus. As of December 7, the expanded clinical relationship will help to better serve patients who may have a high-risk pregnancy by bringing services to Lawrence.

Maternal-fetal-medicine diagnosis and treatment is ideal for those experiencing high-risk pregnancies or any fetal abnormality. The University of Kansas Health System advanced maternal and fetal care team provides the most advanced care for mother and fetus prior to, during and shortly after pregnancy. As the largest, most comprehensive team in Kansas and the region, their expertise, resources and outreach improve patient outcomes and comprehensive care. Backed by more than 100 years of combined experience, the health system’s team of board-certified, fellowship-trained physicians will rotate in-person visits with nursing, medical assistants, sonographers and others.

For the community, joining forces means patients can access convenient, community-based healthcare close to home. Local patients will benefit from the modern facilities and state-of-the-art technology of the LMH Health Women's Center and The University of Kansas Health System on-site maternal-fetal medicine services and treatments for conditions. Thanks to this strategic partnership, the health system is able to provide patients access to the latest and most comprehensive diagnostic treatment options, as well as a continuous network of care, close to home.

As part of this new clinical relationship, the health system’s maternal-fetal-medicine care team will continue to provide the specialized care that patients and referring physicians in the region have come to expect.
