Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Center of Excellence

Advocacy group recognizes quality heart program

The hospital's Center for Advanced Heart Care was recognized as a preferred Center of Excellence by the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Association, or HCMA.

Only programs with state-of-the-art prevention, diagnosis, treatment and research are recognized by the HCMA as Centers of Excellence. Preferred status means our heart center offers all the elements of high-quality care and a track record of successful outcomes for patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. This common genetic heart condition causes an abnormal thickening of the heart muscle. It can cause heart failure, abnormal heart rhythms and sudden cardiac death.

HCMA  is a nonprofit organization providing information, support and advocacy to patients, their families and medical providers.
