Recipe: Antioxidant Postworkout Smoothie

Berry smoothie.

Refuel after your workout with this smoothie that's rich in antioxidants.

Note: Drink half just after your workout and half 30 minutes later.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup strawberries, cleaned and sliced (may use frozen)
  • 1 cup blueberries (may use frozen)
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • ⅛ tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 cups ice

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.
  2. Serve.

Yield: 1 32-oz. smoothie
