Kansas City, Kan. — Coffee is a staple in many hospitals, and The University of Kansas Hospital is no exception. But it's not often that a hospital has their own signature blend.
Thanks to five hospital employees and The Roasterie, we are proud to introduce 3901 Blend – The University of Kansas Hospital's new signature coffee. The unique blend was developed after the coffee team spent several hours at The Roasterie, touring the facility and sampling numerous coffees from around the world. Eventually, the team chose a blend comprised of four beans and two different roast levels. 3901 Blend is made of equal parts:
- Kenya Vienna roast
- Colombia Vienna roast
- Sumatra French roast
- Brazil French roast
Per The Roasterie's description the new blend is, "rich, fully body with notes of candied cherry, peanuts and baker's chocolate."
To try the 3901 Blend visit The Roasterie Cafe in the lobby of Center for Advanced Heart Care, the main cafeteria, or the Westwood Campus Atrium.
