New Sports Medicine Clinic in Lawrence

January 26, 2017

LAWRENCE, Kan. — The University of Kansas Health System's Sports Medicine and Performance Center is opening a new clinic in Lawrence at 4910 Corporate Center Drive.

Heading the clinic is Jeffrey Randall, MD, a long-time Lawrence physician who is also the orthopedic physician for the Kansas Jayhawks. However, Dr. Randall emphasizes that his new practice is for every athlete from youth sports, high school, college, professional and "weekend warriors."

Dr. Randall says he decided this was the time for his work as an orthopedic surgeon to expand to include teaching the next generation of surgeons and work on research projects. He said he contacted The University of Kansas Health System and the University of Kansas Medical Center to see if that could be arranged while staying in Lawrence. The new clinic is the result of that desire.

The clinic is open for patients in a temporary office while the renovation of the permanent space – located at the same address – is being completed.

This is the fifth Sports Medicine and Performance Center opened by The University of Kansas Health System.
