KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Patients and visitors who will be on or around the main campus on Saturday, December 2, please note the following construction changes. These will be in effect for this day only.
Two hospital entrances closed
Construction work will close two of The University of Kansas Hospital's front entrances for most of Saturday, December 2.
From 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m., crews will use a crane to hoist materials to and from the third floor of the hospital. During this activity, the hospital's main entrance and the entrance directly to the north of it will be closed.
Patients and visitors can still use the entrance to the far north (located at the Center for Advanced Heart Care) and far south (located near the Marc A. Asher, MD, Comprehensive Spine Center).
Spotters will be at the site to make sure unauthorized individuals stay clear of the construction activity. Traffic lanes on Cambridge near the hospital valet will be coned off but still navigable as the work progresses.
This activity was originally scheduled for Nov. 18, but was cancelled because of high winds.
