KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Test your batting swing. Get your picture on a trading card. Get your sports medicine questions answered.
Don't miss 2018 Royals FanFest, which will feature sports medicine experts and volunteers from the Sports Medicine and Performance Center at The University of Kansas Health System. The fun takes place Friday, January 26, and Saturday, January 27, at Bartle Hall. Be sure to visit the health system at booth 20, near the baseball diamond.
Baseball fans can ask our experts specific questions during sessions with physicians, athletic trainers and physical therapists. Topics will include concussion, sports nutrition and general sports medicine. Fans can also test their batting swing using the K-vest human motion learning system, a wearable technology that displays their swing on a monitor and allows our physical therapists to analyze alignment and movement. Volunteers will also take photos and email fans their own baseball trading card.
A portion of proceeds from Royals FanFest will benefit Royals Charities, which supports the Kids Dugout waiting room in Cambridge Tower A and other health system initiatives.
The University of Kansas Health System is entering our eighth season as the official healthcare provider of the Kansas City Royals.
