Nurse Academy Registration Now Open

February 16, 2018

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Do you know a high school student who is interested in a career in nursing? Nurse Academy is the perfect opportunity for them.

Registration is open for this year's program, which is July 26-27 on The University of Kansas Health System's main campus. Any student entering their junior or senior years of high school, or who will be a college freshman, as of fall 2018 is eligible. Forty-five students will be accepted for this summer's program.

The application deadline is Friday, April 6.

The annual Nurse Academy is a collaboration between The University of Kansas Health System and the University of Kansas School of Nursing, giving students the opportunity to learn about various fields within nursing. During the program students will practice hands-on nursing skills, learn about different areas of nursing practice and tour several departments in the health system.

If you have questions about the program, please email, or visit the FAQ page.
