Kansas City, Kan. — Ingram’s magazine published its annual Top Doctors issue this month. Every year, the magazine recognizes the best doctors in the region. In 2023, The University of Kansas Health System is honored to have 4 doctors on the list.
Larry R. Corum, MD
Dr. Corum, who works from locations within Olathe Health, part of The University of Kansas Health System, is board-certified in hematology and oncology. He treats many types of cancer, as well as cancerous and noncancerous blood conditions. He also has extensive training in gastrointestinal cancers and broad experience in the care of other cancers and blood disorders.
Deetra Ford, MD
Dr. Ford is committed to taking care of the neurological needs of adults of all ages. A board-certified neurologist, she focuses on providing a positive experience for all of her patients and their families. As the chief of general neurology and director of outpatient neurology services, she has worked to open more services for patients in Johnson County. A leading physician in headache and migraine treatment, she works with the neurology team to provide new medications and other treatments once they become available. As the co-chair of the Kansas City Clinical Neurological Society annual update course, she shares updates and innovations in patient care with physicians across the region. She also frequently presents at professional conferences.
Sean Kumer, MD, PhD
Dr. Kumer is an associate chief medical officer and vice president of perioperative and procedural services at The University of Kansas Health System. As a board-certified transplant surgeon with more than 20 years of experience, he specializes in lifesaving hepatobiliary surgery and liver and kidney transplantation, as well as surgical treatment for liver and pancreas cancer.
Madhuri Reddy, MD
Dr. Reddy is a board-certified gynecologist who provides care to women of all ages. She specializes in minimally invasive surgery, menopause management, urogynecology and pelvic floor reconstruction. She performs the full spectrum of gynecologic procedures, including hysterectomies and laparoscopic and robot-assisted surgeries. She also is committed to the education of the next generation of gynecology physicians and actively trains new OB-GYN residents inside and out of the surgical suite.
