Liberty, Mo., and Kansas City, Kan. – Effective today, Liberty Hospital is officially part of The University of Kansas Health System. For now, patients of Liberty Hospital and its clinics, will continue to see providers in the same places. Liberty Hospital employees will continue their roles in the same locations.
“To have a strong community, we must have strong healthcare,” said Raghu Adiga, MD, CEO of the Liberty Market for The University of Kansas Health System. “We believe this relationship not only strengthens Liberty Hospital – it strengthens the Liberty community and the entire Northland.
The goal of Liberty Hospital joining the health system is full integration, with access to the expertise and resources across academic and community medicine. Teams now will begin working on an operational integration process, which will take time. On this day 1, we look forward to expanding access to high-quality healthcare and serving the Liberty community together.
