Kansas City, Kan. — Ingram’s magazine published its annual Top Doctors issue this month. Every year, the magazine recognizes some of the best doctors in the region. In 2025, The University of Kansas Health System is honored to have 3 doctors on the list.

Mark Hamblin, MD

Mark Hamblin, MD

Pulmonology

Dr. Hamblin is board-certified in internal medicine with subcertifications in pulmonary diseases and critical care medicine. He cares for patients with pulmonary fibrosis and inflammatory interstitial lung diseases, along with rare parenchymal lung diseases such as sarcoidosis, lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM), DIPNECH and others. Dr. Hamblin believes the patient deserves to understand their illness and spends as much time as possible educating his patients to empower their healthcare decisions.

Colleen Lechtenberg, MD

Vascular neurology

Dr. Lechtenberg is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with a subcertification in vascular neurology. She treats stroke patients and works as an inpatient neurohospitalist, while also serving as the medical director of The University of Kansas Health System’s Comprehensive Stroke Center.

William Parker, MD

William Parker, MD

Urology

Dr. Parker is a urologic oncologist at The University of Kansas Health System and an associate professor of urology at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He focuses on the screening, diagnosis and treatment of men at risk for and diagnosed with prostate cancer and also has a special focus in image-guided diagnosis and advanced robotic surgical techniques. Dr. Parker is a national expert in prostate cancer. He has published multiple peer-reviewed articles in prostate cancer and gives educational lectures nationally about prostate cancer screening, diagnosis and management. Locally, he is a strong advocate for prostate cancer screening and men's health.
