E-Visits
Busy schedules often make it hard to see the doctor for a minor illness. The University of Kansas Health System in Kansas City can help with that! If you are an established adult patient at one of our primary care locations, you can visit a nurse practitioner from your smartphone or computer. Simply place your request in MyChart and complete a brief survey about your symptoms. Depending on when you submit your request, you'll get a response the same day or the next business day morning. It will include a diagnosis and a care plan – even a prescription, if needed.
You can ask for an e-visit for:
- Back pain
- Birth control
- Cough
- Diarrhea
- Headache
- Heartburn
- Rash
- Red eye
- Sinus problems
- Urinary problems
- Vaginal discharge
If your symptoms require an office visit, we'll ask you to make an appointment with your primary care physician or visit one of our urgent care offices.
The charge for an e-visit is $30, and you will be asked to pay it by credit card when you place your request. If you have private insurance, you may be able to submit your receipt for reimbursement.
To start your e-visit, sign in to MyChart and choose "E-Visit" from the main menu.
