2019 Nursing Annual Report: Making a Difference
Our nurses make tremendous contributions to the patient experience as advocates, clinical experts, educators and collaborators. So many patients and families trust us with their care because we make them feel welcomed, supported, informed and safe in our hospitals and clinics. One of the key parts of our culture is collaboration. It takes all of us working together in every interaction with patients and their families to provide safe, consistent, high-quality and lifesaving care.
Fiscal year 2019 was a time of remarkable growth and achievement. The stories we highlight illustrate how nurses go above and beyond for patients. We feature units and clinics providing safe, high-quality care and the prestigious award recognition they received. Our nurses are innovators and lead committees, councils and quality improvement initiatives across Kansas City, the region and the nation. These stories reveal only a portion of the immense amount of important work by our nurses and teams.
Our nurses make a difference in the lives of patients and their families every day!
