Chronic Pain Clinic

chronic-painChronic pain is a term used to describe ongoing, persistent pain that lasts for several weeks or longer.

We have a team of six double-board-certified physicians that provide interventional and other multimodal treatments to those experiencing a variety of painful conditions.

We have a nationally recognized center in many advanced pain management techniques such as spinal cord stimulation, intrathecal pumps and radiofrequency ablation. The pain division also has ongoing clinical trials investigating emerging pain interventions only offered in select regions. Other common treatments provided include epidural steroid injections, facet injections, vertebral augmentation, kyphoplasty, radiofrequency ablation, neurolytic blocks and a multitude of other interventions.

Our physicians believe in providing compassionate care for each patient in an individualized manner. Our philosophy is a comprehensive approach to pain using minimally invasive interventions, physical therapy and, when necessary, medications. We believe in not only treating pain but also identifying the exact source of pain to better tailor a treatment plan for each patient. Experienced care is provided quickly, with most patients improving within just a few visits.

The Interventional Pain Medicine Center is housed within the Marc A. Asher, MD, Comprehensive Spine Center. The spine center is a unique multispecialty practice with anesthesiology pain, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, physical medicine and rehabilitation, neurology and psychiatry all working together for your benefit.
