Before Surgery

We encourage you to be prepared for your upcoming surgery and hospital stay, as well as the care you will receive after you leave the hospital.

  • You are going to be late.

When to Arrive for Surgery

The Preoperative Testing Clinic will call you after 2 p.m. on the business day before your surgery. At that time, the staff will provide you with your arrival time. (If your surgery is scheduled for Monday, the clinic staff will call you on Friday.)

Remember to arrange for transportation to and from the hospital. If you require supplemental oxygen, please make sure you have a full tank for your appointment and transportation to and from the hospital.
