Breast Reconstruction

Women who have beaten breast cancer may have done it at the cost of losing one or both breasts with a mastectomy or lumpectomy. For these women, our plastic surgery team offers several distinct breast reconstruction surgery options, both implant-based or flap-based. Meet a few of our patients and read their successful stories.

Implant Based Breast Reconstruction

Breast reconstruction may involve the placement of saline or silicone breast implants to restore the breast mound and create fullness.

Free Flap Breast Reconstruction

Free flap breast reconstruction is a technique in which the breast is reconstructed using your own tissues. A graft of skin, muscle and fat from a donor site recreates the breast mound on your body and is attached to a blood supply in the recipient site.

TRAM Flap Breast Reconstruction

TRAM flap breast reconstruction is a technique in which tissues from the abdomen are moved to recreate the breast and attached to the blood supply there.
