What we provide
As the official healthcare provider for the Current, we care for the players’ health on and off the pitch. That includes care from sports medicine, orthopedics and other specialists who are experts at caring for female athletes – whether they’re in middle school or an elite professional.
The University of Kansas Health System understands the unique challenges female athletes face. That's why we created the region's only female athlete program to address sports medicine injuries with consideration for the anatomical, biomechanical, hormonal, nutritional, physiological and psychosocial factors that can uniquely affect female athletes.
We also care for Current fans by staffing first-aid stations inside CPKC Stadium.
As one of the leaders nationally in working with elite athletes, the health system is a tremendous fit for the Kansas City Current as we continue our organization’s quest to build the best women’s soccer club in the world.
