Make an Appointment

The University of Kansas Health System has more than 200 specialists to serve your healthcare needs. Making an appointment with one of them is easy.

Call our Health Resource Center

If you know the physician's name, we'll schedule your appointment. If you don't know which physician you should visit, we'll help you find one and schedule an appointment. Our Health Resource Center team is available 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Your scheduling options

Call by phone

When you call, have the following information available:

  • Health insurance provider
  • Name, address and phone number of your primary care or referring physician

Search our online physician directory

Find a physician best suited to your needs. Then, complete our online request form and a representative from our health resource center will call you to schedule an appointment.

Ask your primary care physician

Your physician can refer you to, and make an appointment with, one of our specialists.

What to expect

A few days before your appointment, our automated reminder system will call to confirm your visit. Only respond if you need to change or cancel the appointment.

When you make your appointment, you can request our automated reminder system to speak louder and/or slower to make it easier to hear and understand the message.

What to bring

Bring a list of your currently prescribed medications and any over-the-counter drugs you take. If you've had any procedures such as testing or surgery, send us your medical records before your visit. A nurse may call to review your health history and symptoms.
